Pasture Raised Kosher King Chickens:
This past winter we raised a batch of Kosher King chickens. Kosher King chickens are champions among meat producers, with a number of benefits over standard broilers. These birds are robust, active, and have arguably some of the most delicious and flavorful meat available. They are raised on a pasture of cool season cover crops that include, forage collard greens, mustard greens, Australian winter pea, and hairy vetch, moved daily and are being supplemented with organic grain and meat from the ranch.
Whole Chicken: $40. ~5.5# birds
Pasture Raised Eggs:
We raise several varietals of chickens, our chickens live out on pasture and are supplemented with venison and dry aged Japanese basmati rice along with vegetables from our garden. Our methods have resulted in a much more nutrient dense egg with a bigger yolk when compared to leading store brands of organic pasture raised eggs. They have a better omega-3 to omega-6 ratio and are significantly higher in protein, fat, and calories.
